Kongruente Modellumgebung zur Analyse der Folgen der Verkehrswende für Elektrizitätsmärkte und –netze

The project KonVeEn focuses on the research field of integrated interdisciplinary cross-sectoral energy system analysis. The exchange of interdisciplinary knowledge between the Fraunhofer IML and the ie3, which began with the project KonVeTrO, is continued in the areas of transport logistics, electricity market simulation and network expansion planning.

The aim of the project is to develop a model that analyses the effects of the traffic turnaround on the electricity sector.  With the help of a differentiated analysis of different classes of vehicle types, the generation of detailed motion and charging profiles depending on the relevant transport logistics and electricity market parameters is enabled. The knowledge gained in this process will then be used to improve the network expansion planning environment developed in the previous project, which will allow analyses of the expansion requirements of the German transmission grid as a result of the traffic turnaround.
