Hybrid-Kompensator für die Bereitstellung von Systemdienstleistungen

The aim of the project is the research and design of a novel hybrid compensator, the construction of a functional model and its testing in the real network operation of a distribution network operator. As an intelligent equipment, consisting of a converter, storage system as well as control and communication devices, the hybrid compensator will combine several system services in a single installation. On the one hand, this includes the optimisation of earth fault compensation in distribution networks with resonance neutral earthing, especially taking into account new requirements such as the compensation of higher-frequency harmonics. On the other hand, the hybrid compensator is intended to stabilise the grid by storing energy at times of high supply of regenerative feed-in and feeding energy back into the grid at times of low supply. As an autonomous system, the hybrid compensator continuously records the network parameters by measurement and carries out corrective interventions in the sense of stable network operation. Through information technology connection to the communication infrastructure of smart grids, synergies can be exploited by exchanging information with other intelligent equipment.
