Low Voltage Test Grid
The low voltage test network is a configurable three-phase 400 V grid. The laboratory is equipped with various elements that can be assembled to build a suitable network for each experiment. The test network can be used as an island or it can be connected to 10 kV distribution network. For monitoring and control the laboratory has several measurement devices. The communication between different devices can be carried out, for example, via Modbus TCP. The available major components are:
- Configurable low voltage busbars
- OLTC-equipped transformer
- Various types of power cables up to 1.5 km
- Cable emulator
- PV inverter
- Redox flow battery storage
- EV charging systems
- Variable Resistor
- Power Amplifiers
- Real-time simulators (OPAL-RT and dSPACE)
- Access to field measurements
