Optimization & Control

The group for energy efficiency, optimization and control is working on the design of optimization-based control methods for cyber-physical systems. We consider applications from energy systems, process control, climate-economics and beyond. Our key competences are: design and implementation of optimization-based control, model predictive control and nonlinear control including their application and real-time feasible implementation for nonlinear processes and complex systems.

We regularly offer interesting thesis topics for BSc and MSc thesis projects. Besides offered topics, proactive applications and requests are welcome. Students who are interested in joining our team (BSc or MSc thesis as well as PhD positions) on optimization, systems and control and complex systems please contact Timm Faulwasser via Email including a CV and transcript of grades.
