The objective of this project is the conception and the exemplary implementation of a standardised protection and automation system for the integration in electrical medium and low voltage grids including a concept for projecting, installation and maintenance which considers the entire life cycle of the system.
Procedure: First, in close collaboration with grid operators, the requirements especially for automated local substations will be elaborated within this project. Out of this, the specifications and the concept for the system are derived and documented in an integration guideline. The relevant protection and automation functions, interface adaptions, a suitable engineering process as well as an automated and standardised testing procedure are implemented in hard- and software. Afterwards the protection and automation system prototype will be installed and validated within a selected grid using the specified processes.
